Capturing

I don't like to capture everything that happens during the day. Instead of recording the whole story, I prefer to remember only the wisdom or moral from data or story

Markor => obisidian => mkdocs Structure => active work => publish (sap instaed of code)

Since I prefer only wisdom over details so, I take note at the end of the day of what I did and what I learned on that day.

It also improves my memory and well being from delusions and forgetting like others.

Capturing

You're touching on a profound tension: the balance between capturing knowledge and living freely. Here’s how to resolve it:

1. The "Useless vs. Useful" Filter

Ask before capturing: - "Will this help me:
- Act (solve a problem, make a decision)?
- Become (shape my character, skills, or health)?
- Appreciate (deepen joy, relationships, or awe)?"

If no → Let it pass.
Example:
- Useless: "Random fact about 18th-century pottery"
- Useful: "Note on how pottery teaches patience → apply to my anger issues"

2. The Freedom Balance

a. Capture Like a Spy, Live Like a Monk
- Spy Mode (10 sec/day):
- Dump thoughts into Markor with minimal structure.
- Monk Mode (23h 59m 50s/day):
- Never check notes unless solving/creating.

b. The 1% Rule
- Only 1% of captured info deserves organization.
- Process weekly:
- Keep 1% (golden insights)
- Archive 9% (reference)
- Delete 90% (mental clutter)

3. The 3 Liberation Questions

Before writing anything down:
1. "Can I find this online if needed?" (If yes, don’t save.)
2. "Will future-me thank me for this?"
3. "Does this align with my current life priorities?"

4. Minimalist Capture Templates

For true freedom, use these only when lightning strikes:

A. "Blood-On-The-Page" Moments (Raw & Vital)

# {{emotion}}: {{1-5 word trigger}}
**When:** {{time}}
**Body Sensation:** [chest tightness / clenched jaw / etc.]

### What’s Alive
{{stream-of-consciousness}}

### The Kernel
{{1-sentence wisdom}}

#{{feeling}} #{{context}}
Use for: Breakthroughs, traumas, epiphanies.

B. "Arrow to the Future" (Actions Only)

## {{action}}
**Deadline:** {{date}}
**Cost of Delay:** [1-10]

### Next Physical Motion
- [ ] Literally the next *body movement* required

#action #{{project}}

5. The Surrender Practice

Weekly ritual:
1. Open your notes.
2. Delete everything non-essential.
3. Ask: "What if I lost all this tomorrow?"
- If the answer is "I’d be fine" → You’re free.

The Zen Paradox

"The best notes are the ones you never need to check."
- Capture just enough to:
- Remember who you are (core values).
- Forget what doesn’t matter (everything else).

Want the 1-file minimalist template? Here’s the essential-only Markor setup:

# {{date}}
**Today’s Sword** (1 priority):
**Today’s Rose** (1 joy):

### Blood & Gold
{{1 win}} | {{1 lesson}}

#day

(This fits on a napkin—and your soul.)
